There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about my work. I hope you enjoy my site and take a moment to drop me a line.
A maker of images from a young age, I have worked creatively all of my life.
From construction of a full-size paper mâché palm tree to fabricating a 6 foot "litter bug" from roadside trash, to picturing life around me, I have used a variety of materials to
express my wonder and to convey ideas.
Raised in Massachusetts, I studied art at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, as well as at Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Students League in NYC. I added numerous workshops in pastel, watercolor, printmaking and portraiture. Later I opened Elements Gallery in Brunswick, Maine, and was graphic artist
for The Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram.
I changed locations from Massachusetts to Maine, to New York City, Florida and now North Carolina. I also spent three years at sea in the Caribbean and in Europe, where I painted over 200 small watercolors, culminating in a sola show at Curtis Memorial Public Library in Brunswick, Maine.
Having settled in Black Mountain, North Carolina, where dramatic mountains are the perennial subject, I am already responding to their changing colors and moods begging to be painted.
